Sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, especially when you’re creating art pieces, sewing, or beading. A bead may be slightly off, a detail might not be quite right, or a small mistake may make its way into a piece.

This is why I lean heavy into the beadwork teachings I heard of growing up

In many Indigenous beadwork teachings, a spirit bead is placed into a design that may seem like a “mistake” on the outside. But it is intentionally added as a reminder that nothing is ever perfect.

We carry that same teaching into this collection.

These pieces may have a minor flaw, but they’re still beautiful, wearable works of art. Rather than letting them go to waste, we’re giving them a chance to be loved and appreciated for exactly what they are.

Just like you deserve to be loved, too.
